A Tremolar
A Tremolar is a tremolo based on the Diaz Tremodillo schematic, designed to sound like the tremolo found in Fender Brownface amps.
The Fender Brownface tremolo is a type of amplitude modulation tremolo circuit found in early 1960s Fender amps, such as the Deluxe, Princeton and Vibrolux models. This tremolo effect is achieved by modulating the volume of the guitar signal at a regular rate, creating a pulsating sound. The circuit design gives the tremolo effect a warm, organic tone with a smooth, musical quality. It is appreciated for its vintage character and is distinct from later Fender tremolo circuits.
The switch on the right toggles between two different speed ranges.
The enclosure is finished with the decoupage technique, which consists of decorating surfaces by overlaying paper or fabric cutouts and sealing them with varnish.
